AZ Make-A-Wish Foundation: Allie’s Wish / 2021

Creation RE + PE and DRS were able to grant 8-year-old Allie’s wish of having her bedroom remodeled through AZ Make-A-Wish Foundation, by granting them $10,000. Read Allie’s story below:

When Allie was diagnosed with cancer at age 5, she wasn’t really sure what was going on.

“Her cancer was behind her eye and we weren’t sure how it would affect her,” said Lisa, her mother. “Would she lose her eye? Would it spread to her brain? We were constantly worried.” Enter Make-A-Wish Arizona, which gave Allie something to focus on during days when she desperately needed some hope.

“Make-A-Wish really gave us something positive to talk about, something she could focus on for when she felt better,” continued Lisa.

Allie's wish to create a custom bedroom helped her close the door on cancer and open the door to new possibilities. "Allie was able to design her wish room with her favorite things, like the pink wall and unicorns, plus all new furniture that will benefit her for many years," said her mom, Lisa.

Now Allie is cancer-free and finished with treatments! She can't wait to relax on her new loft bed and try to fit all her friends in her new egg chair.
